Valentines for Gamers

My husband and I aren’t big celebrators of arbitrary holidays. Valentine’s Day is especially low on our list. Now that I make cards, however, I have a lot more fun celebrating whatever occasions come up!

All the V-Day cards I’d seen around Facebook and Instagram were all pinks, super cutesy, and just not really us. Until I saw this card from Whirled of Papercraft.

Even though it’s definitely in the “pink and cutesy” category, it gave me some ideas! I’ve had Lawn Fawn’s Screen Time set for ages, but hadn’t used it yet. Finally, I found the right opportunity!

I busted out the XOXO Backdrop and the Foursquare Backdrop to create the perfect backing with brightly colored cardstock. I then stamped out the images I wanted to use and colored the people to resemble myself and my husband. My husband is sitting at his computer while I’m playing a console game.

Finally, I used the Scripty Love die to layer the word up for a pop of sparkle. Not too shabby, if I say so myself!

Now to write something mushy inside…
