I used a spritz of Pixie Spray on the back of the Dragon Scales stencil to hold it in place on the paper. Using blending brushes (I now use the Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes, but didn’t have them at the time), I created a beautiful, mottled dragon skin background with Altenew crisp dye inks in Evening Gray, Lagoon, and Purple Wine.
I stamped and colored my gorgeous lady using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Copic Markers, then fussy cut her out.
To get the right feel, I used the throne stamp from Ink Road Stamps’ Throne stamp set directly onto the dragon scale background and a sentiment from the same set was stamped onto Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock and hand cut into a banner.
My Queen and her sentiment were each mounted using foam squares and the whole thing was attached to a card base of Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb. Cardstock.
