I mentioned in my previous post that I’m working on my watercoloring. I recently busted out the Bella Flora stamps by Ink Road as a base to practice with. You can see my first attempt below.
I kind of like it, but couldn’t figure out how to approach learning watercoloring, so I did what anyone does these days – I asked the Internet!
To be specific, I asked my favorite group of card makers – the Mildly Offensive Paper Crafting group on Facebook. The general consensus? Get messier!
So I obliged! First, I stamped out the Bella Flora bouquet of my choice in Versafine Onyx Black onto some watercolor paper, then taped the sheets down to my glass media mat to help keep them flat.
Out came my Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers and my heat gun to dry to colors between applications. Next thing I knew, I had the background for the card in the header as well as this one here.
Next, out came Ink Road’s F*ck-a-Doodle-Do stamp set, which I used to heat emboss the sentiments in pearl embossing powder.
Beautiful and snarky AF!
