I’ve been wanting to improve my watercoloring for a while, so I thought I’d start simple with just a basic blended swath of rainbow colors. The watercolors are Altenew’s Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers. I put a few drops of each color I wanted onto my glass media mat, then used a regular watercolor brush and a jar of water to pick up the colors as desired and worked my way down the color spectrum.
I dried the watercolors, then put a few drops of Lawn Fawn’s new Liquid Stardust on the glass media mat, added a bit of water with a fresh brush, and carefully tapped splatters of the glittery stardust all across the rainbow. You really can’t see it in the picture, but it’s both subtle and gorgeous in person!
Once I dried the paper thoroughly once again with my heat tool, I cut it down to size and pulled out the Look for the Rainbows stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. A quick bit of stamping with Versafine Onyx Black and all that was left was to adhere the card front to a base.
