Cards for Colleagues

As the resident card maker at my school, it often comes down to me when there’s a birthday, illness, or someone leaves for a new job.

This first card is for a colleague who was doing just that – abandoning us!

As a coffee mug hoarder, it was easy to pull out Ink Road’s Mug Life set for the coffee cups and their The Struggle is Real set (now retired) for the sentiment. The best part is that I colored the coffee mugs to match actual mugs in our staff kitchen!

A little creative use of papers and layering allowed me to create the appearance of a desk covered in used coffee mugs.

This card was made for a (then) pregnant coworker who was at the stage of pregnancy where you just feel like crap all the time. At least, the stage when I felt like crap all the time during mine.

Anyway, the point is, I wanted to give her a little pick-me-up card!

Enter Lawn Fawn’s Let’s BBQ set and a little Copic coloring, and this cute card was ready to go!
