Recently, I acquired Kindred Stamps’ Childhood Friends stamp set. I’d had my eyes on it for a while, so I jumped at the opportunity to own it when it was made available! Upon receipt of the set, I promptly stamped out 4 sheets containing each of the characters, and spent the next week and a half coloring.
I’ll admit, as of right now, I’ve only fussy cut the characters from one of my stamped sheets, but I’m okay with that. And given the fact that I don’t exactly have any card designs in mind, I figured there’s no rush!
It wasn’t until I properly looked through the sentiments that I started coming up with a few concrete card ideas – the first of which you see featured here!
With a sheet of Lawn Fawn’s Spiffy Speckles paper, I cut it to size and used one of their Just Stitching Hearts dies for a little added interest and sweetness. The sentiment is stamped on a simple banner from their Everyday Sentiment Banners.
The sad little donkey was popped up with foam squares, as was the sentiment banner at the base. This sweet card is already on its way to a friend going through some tough times and in need of a little love.
I can’t wait to work with the rest of my Childhood Friends and share them here!
